Little description of the connectivity of DPRK border cities

The North Korea-China border is 1,334km long(approximately 45 km between Mt. Baekdu and 1,289 km between the river and the Tumen River.) The defection has mainly occurred in bordercities, especially near the narrow Tumen River.

Especially since Kim Jong Un took power, both North Korea and China have been closing their country borders more and more completely, blocking not only physical movement but also digital connection.

In this situation, where all forms of connection are blocked, which of the representative cities near the border are most physically, socially, and digitally connected to the outside world?

How this connectivity related to other social aspects of North Korea?
