Most of the 400,000 visually impaired individuals in Seoul feel burdened by the thought of going out alone. In particular, taking the bus is an almost impossible feat for them.

Based on these real world problems, BRAVI proposes a service design that streamlines the walking and bus taking experience for the visually impaired by allowing them to participate in a more active and safer daily life.

BRAVI's system includes using smartphone sensing technology, Internet of Things(IoT) smart devices, and social infrastructure. This combination of systems helps people with low vision by delivering and converting real-time visual information into auditory and tactile information, which frees them from danger while walking on the streets and provides accuracy in bus taking.

The ultimate goal of BRAVI is to improve the rights of mobility for the visually impaired and help them realize an independent life.
